Guandu Archaic Town is located in southeast of Kunming, Yunnan Province. The area occupied is 17 square kilometers and the elevation is 18,887 meters. As a historical archaic town, Guandu was once a famous town center crossing in the past. It’s one of the famous historical cultural cities in Kunming and it was a big town during the Tang and Song Dynasty. In Yuan Dynasty (1279 to 1368), it became a county together with Kunming, the business and handicraft industry here were well developed in the town. In former days, Guandu was a gathering place for the businessmen and there is a lot of historical sight. There are five mountains, six temples, seven pavilions, eight temples and other scenic spots. Among which, the most famous Jingang Tower is the symbol of archaic culture in ancient Guandu. The “Fishing Light of Guandu”, which is one of the eight ancient scenic spots, also reflected the previous glory and booming Guandu in former days.
