Xiamen Chongwu Ancient City,Chongwu Gucheng

Chongwu Ancient City is located 24 kilometers on the south of Chongwu Peninsula in Huian County of Quanzhou City. It is one of the better preserved stone cities of the country.

It is also one of the more complete histories of the country’s coastal sites and is under the key protection units of the nation. The entire Chongwu ancient city was built with white granite.

The total length of the wall is 2,457 meters, the wall base is 5 meters high and the wall is 7 meters high. In addition, it has two-tier Valley Road constructed.

It is a very significant strategic position for defense fortifications and used to be a spot sought by soldiers. By ascending the highest point of Chongwu ancient city, you can see the Waterfront bathing place and "the divine tortoise play the water" and some other natural landscapes.
