Sanya East Mountain Range,Dongshan Ling

East Mountain Range is located 3 kilometers from Wancheng Town, east of Wancheng city. It was called Pen Rack Mountain because 3 peaks stood facing each other and forms the shape of a pen rack. It is one of the earliest developed scenic sites in the province. It shared the same reputation as the Wugong Ancestral Hall, the Deer Turned Its Head, and The Ends of the Earth before. It was said East Mountain Range is where immortal Taiost concocted the medicine named "Small Yingzhou". The "immortal Taoists" passed away but "making medicine stove" still remained currently. More than 100 engraved poems express ancient’s collections and enhance the mountains’ magnificence. East Mountain Range is regarded as an immortal mountain in the Hainan people’s mind because of its long historical culture where root and traces of history could be found, and not simply because an immortal lived here before.
