Sanya Emperor Cave,Huangdi Dong

Emperor Cave is located on the south part of Changhua Li national minority autonomous country under the Wule range of Wangxia country, 60 kilometers from Shi Lu town. It is situated at the foot of a hill and beside a stream and is a big limestone cave. It was eroded and formed by the ground water. It is warm in winter and cool in summer. The Cave is about 60 meters wide, 130 meters deep, 25 meters high and the area is about 7,800 square meters. The hall assumes the arch and could accommodate ten thousand people. It has 90- meter- long natural stone scenery in the southeast of the Cave. There is a throne in the centre with one stone person sits on the chair. The stone bodyguard stood on both sides and this scene resembles the emperor ascending the throne, thence the name "Emperor Cave". There is an extremely high Cave on the roof of the Palace with a length of 2 meters and the width of 1.5 meters. It looks like a clerestory with the light shining through the window causing the cave to look brilliant.
