The Dongba Palace is also a famous place for Naxi ancient music. The newly built palace is decorated with typical Naxi religious symbols and ornaments which added much characteristic to the solemn cultural atmosphere.

The Dongba palace is located just opposite the Naxi Ancient Music Institute. There is a daily performance which begins at 7:30 with charges of RMB 25.40. Besides Naxi music, the Dongba palace hosts various cultural activities on an irregular basis, these activities include the Naxi Dance and staged religious rites.
