Jilin Meteorite Shower Museum,Yunshi Bowuguan

The Meteorite Shower Museum is located in the Jilin Avenue of Jilin City. Jilin meteorites shower rained near the suburban area at 3pm in 18 March 1976. The rainfall area is 500 square kilometers with a collection of 138 meteorites specimens and 3,000 pieces of fragment. The No.1 meteorite weight is 1,770 kilograms and the volume is 117×93×84 cubic centimeters.
It is the biggest meteorite in the world at present. The color is palm black with gas mark on it. The rainfall is big scale, with huge weight, a lot in quantity, unusual shape and rich specimen and is presently exhibit in the Jilin Meteorite Shower Museum exhibition hall. It uses the sound, the light equipment to introduce the Jilin meteorites shower, the meteorites study and the universe outlines and so on scientific knowledge.
