Nanchang Nanchang New Fourth Army Corps Site,Xinsijun Jibu jiuzhi

The New Fourth Army Corps was established in Jiangxi Friends Bamboo Alley, Nanchang, on 6th January 1938. Ye Ting was the commander and deputy commander of the British and Zhang Yunyi was the chief of staff. New Fourth Army is formed in the South from 14 areas in eight provinces of the Red Army guerrillas into guerrilla war. New Fourth Army set up an initial resistance which became a major event, marking the CPC’s anti-Japanese armed growing stronger. Nanchang New Fourth Army Corps site is located at No.7 Friends Bamboo Road, Nanchang city. The building was built in 1923 and used to be the residence of Zhang Xun. There are exhibition areas in the building on the history of the New Fourth Army Corps.
