The Tengwang Pavilion (Tengwang Ge) is at the south side of Yanjiang Bei Road and Dieshan Road. In the ancient times it was one of the four famous towers in China (the other three are Yellow Crown Tower in Wuhan, Yueyang Pavilion in Yueyang and Penglaige Tower in Yantai). The tower was constructed in Tang Dynasty (653 AD). And it was at that time the mansion of the prince of Tang royal family. The pavilion was 9-floor with the height of 57.5 meters. And now the building we have seen was rebuilt in Song dynasty. There was a famous poem to describe the beauty of the tower. The pavilion is facing the Xi Mountains, and people can see a whole view of Nanchang city.
