Qingdao Qingdao Ocean University,Qingdao Haiyang Daxue

The key national university was founded in October 1924. This is where Qingdao University is located. In the past, it was the German Bismarck barracks. The campus still retained the original German construction style till now. The name of the university is officially changed to "China Oceanography University" now. The rough granite wall, the red tubular tile roof, the long window decorated with beautiful western-style design, the layout of the building still retained the original style until now and emits a plain, elegant and exotic look. Many renowned writers, like Lao She, Liang Shiqiu, Shen Congwen, Wen Yiduo, Wu Boxiao, and Hong Shen and so on once lectured at Qingdao University. The famous poet, Zangkejia was once the student of Qingdao University.His teacher was Wen Yiduo at that time. The Wen Yiduo former dwelling was "Yiduo building" and calmly stood in the northwest corner in the campus where there is entangling tree cane on the wall. There is a flower bed built in front of the building. Wen Yiduo’s half-length marble statue stood erected in the center and the epigraph was written by his student, Zangkejia. There are also two deodar cedars on both sides of the flower-bed. Yiduo building had been established as "the Wen Yiduo former dwelling exhibition room". Wen Yiduo was a renowned poet in China during the forties. He was gunned down by a spy when he was lecturing at the university square in opposition of the corruption of Chiang Kai-Shek government.
