Longtan waterfall is also known as Yulong waterfall. It is located at the upstream of Bashui River in South Lao Mountain in Qingdao of Shandong Province. The distance from north is approximately 1 kilometer away from Shangqing Palace. The area is surrounded by cliffs. Bashui River flows along, about 20 meters high with more than 10 meters wide precipices hanging down, spurting bead, as if the jade dragon in the air. The waterfall falls several meters and clashes with the cliff and the score stock falls into in the deep pool. The water is blue and cold and clear enough to see the river floor. There is a huge stone carved with "Longtan waterfall" nearby. After heavy rain, the mountain torrent storm soars and howls, therefore it got the title of "Longtan spurting rain".
