Qinhuangdao Beidaihe

Beidaihe Scenic Area is a famous scenic resort located at west of Qinhuangdao. The Beidai River starts from Langyashan Bridge (Langyashan Qiao) to its east, and ends at the mouth of the Nandai River (Nandai He) to its west. The beach of the Beidai River stretches 15km long. Therefore, this area therefore gained the reputation of “Natural Oxygen Bar” because of its fresh air.
The climate here is mild with average temperature in summer and winter. The average temperature is 10.3 centigrade degrees. The environment around Beidaihe Scenic Area is also beautiful. Lianfeng Mountain (which backs onto the beach of Beidai River), has two peaks covered by green pines and cypresses. Lush vegetation, strange caves, decorated pavilions, secluded paths and winding bridges cover the mountain and make it unique and appealing. The Wanghai Pavilion is located on the top of the mountain. You can appreciate the misty sea view by looking down from the Wanghai Pavilion. The Beidaihe Scenic Area is one of the nine most famous sunrise watching sites in China. Yinjiao Pavilion, situated to the northwest of the Beidai River, is the best place to watch sunrise. When the sun is rising, the sky and the river are painted golden yellow. After viewing the sunrise, you may pick some pretty shells as well as starfish, sea crabs.
