Shantou Haimen Lotus Peak,Haimen Lianhua Feng

Haimen Lotus Peak was so named because of the stones splitting like lotus. It lays 10kms away from Chaoyang County in Haimen Seashore. Many scenic spots such as the Three Generals Stone and Watching Husband Stone are in the area. There are also lots of celebrities’ stone inscriptions, for instance, Liu Yongfu’s cursive “Tiger” (Liu Yongfu is the leader of the Black Flag Army) and calligraphers Yuyouren and Liuhaishu’s inscriptions. In modern times the famous author Lao She also inscribed poem here written about Wentianxiang of the late South Song Dynasty. Later on, people built a memorial hall and a statue of Wentianxiang here to commemorate him and also established Lianfeng Academy.
There is a natural bathe resort around the Lotus Peak. Visitors may go to see the Lotus Peak by yacht from the sea.
