Shantou Peach Blossom Gorge,Taohua Jian

The Peach Blossom Gorge is located at the beautiful Shannan screen foothill. The mountain is green and the water is clear. The gorge is deep and is 9 kilometers from the urban district. The gorge is filled with tourists admiring the peach blossoms every mid of April. The peach blossom gorge is not only a natural with beautiful sceneries but also a historical vestige. There are the peach blossom gorge neolites ruins, two gorges villages’ neolites ruins, nine Longkou business week ruins and earned the reputation of "the Eastern book from heaven" of the minority tribes’ sacrificial offering ruins. It is rich in culture, earning a lot of praises. The most worthy thing to look at is the mountain general on the cliff rock painting. It has a history of more than 5,000 years from now. The rock painting chisel engraving length is approximately 22 meters, the width approximately 15 meters of smooth black rocks where there are markings of human, beast, crops, sun, star and son on. The entire rock painting’s central has three rocks piling together where there are many millstones holes on them.
