Shantou Tangkeng Hot Spring

The Tangkeng Hot Spring was built at the end of Ming Dynasty. The area occupied amounted to more than 1,300 square meters. It is the biggest scale natural hot spring public bathing pool in Guangdong Province. It is divided into the male and female pool. The pool was built with cement all around in rectangle shape and the pool surface was built with granite with 1 meter width channels. The pools were also divided into high and low water temperature to cater for different needs of the users.
The hot spring water has superior quality and the radon spring is rich. The water has obvious effects and treats skin diseases, rheumatism and arthritis and so on.
