Shennongjia Luoyang Peony Garden

Luoyang Peony Garden is located in Shennongjia nature protection area of Hubei Province. It was constructed in 1992. The total area occupied is 500 Chinese acres with more than 380 species of peony plants, altogether about 100,000 pieces. It is the place with south Yellow River area peony series collection. There are altogether 400 varieties of northwest purple spot peony series. In 1994, 11 varieties of famous species were imported from Japan, namely ’the golden emperor’ and ’the sun’, totaling to 200 pieces. In the garden, there are nine series of peony such as black peony, green peony, yellow peony, Fu peony, color peony and so on where the species are extremely precious. The "Peony Fairy", which ranked the first, stood facing the south among the peonies in the garden. The Luoyang peony garden receives guest from all over the world to watch the peony all year through.
