Bailin Buddhist Temple is located southeast of Chaohsien County, about 30 kilometers from Shijiazhuang. It was constructed at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD196 - AD220) and now boasts a history going back more than 1,700 years. At that time, cypress grew into a temple, and therefore has become known as "cypress forest". Bailin Buddhist Temple, in ancient times housed Yan Zhao’s Buddhist Center. Once, a famous monk Sanzhang (Tang dynasty) studied here one year before going to India. Now the temple has become a place of interest that accommodates sightseeing, Buddhist worship and vacationing.
