The Huaishan Scenic Area is located at the Jingkou town of Jiangxia area, and is near the Yangtze River shore. It is a strategic place. This mountain occupies a surrounding area of 0.1 square kilometers. The original name is Jiongfeng Mountain. The name was changed to Huaishan when Li Dahuai, a Jin native occupied here.
There is the Damo Pavilion built by Wuchang government office, Dadamo, the first ancestor "a reed to cross a river" place in the reign of Jiajing and later renamed to "keep cloud pavilion" on the summit. The extant pavilion was reconstructed on the first year of Republic of China.
Wangchiang pavilion was constructed on the steep cliff near the river during the Qing Dynasty. The “Jiongfeng Temple" is located on the foot hill and the "Tao Gong Ancestral Temple" is located under the mountain, "the Guolao Mark" and some other relics. The Shibo waterfront was constructed on the west of the mountain near the river in the Ming Dynasty. Its length amounted to 236 meters and divided into three levels altogether. There are 103 stone poles and stone cotes. The sight is magnificent.
It still preserved three ancient gingkgo trees on the Huaishan which are planted in Tang Dynasty. The height is several meters and with very thick trunk.
