Wuhan Longwang Temple Pier,Longwangmiao Matou

Longwang Temple Pier is located in Hankou bank which is the connection of Han River and the Yangtze River. The pier stretches 1,080 meters long. It was recorded that the Longwang Temple Pier was built in the 4th year of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1739AD). In the area of Longwang Temple Pier, the river is narrow and the bank is steep, always causing boats to overturn here, hence it was well-known for this danger. The Longwang Temple was built for worshipping for safety for this reason.
