Xiangfan Water Mirror Lake,Shuijing Hu

The Water Mirror Lake scenic area is located 2 kilometers west of Xiangfan city. The Sandaohe reservoir was built on the Man River by the flowing water within the boundaries in the 60’s. The storage capacity is 161 million cubic meters. It is located among the hills. It is composed by the "five lakes", "four canyons" and "three islands". It resembles a huge giant bright mirror setting in the high mountain ridge, hence its name.
"The lake center island" (also named the birds Island); there are multitudinous rare birds and beasts perching on the island, the Yao pond lotus under the sun on the island and the red maple leaves like fire in the red leaves valley flickering, appearing and disappearing from view, the sounds from the spring, all of which make up the famous yellow dragon cave waterfall.
