Xining Backward Flowing River,Daoliu He

Backward Flowing River (Daoliu He) is located under Riyue Mountain of Gansu Qinghai Lake. The Qinghai plateau is sea more than 200 million years ago. As a result of intense diastrophism, Qinghai’s water flows from Riyue Mountain to the east.

Riyue Mountain became higher as time goes by and later on become a complete lake. The river originally flows to the east and later changes direction flowing to the west. Actually the backward flowing river small town is also very lively.

The Mongolian and Tibetans’activities such as putting on traditional animal skin coat, riding horses, shouting at dogs and drink wine boldly while horse racing added a lot of lively and energetic characteristics to the place.
