Xining Qinhai Atom Town,Qinghai Yuanzi Cheng

Qinghai Atomy Town is located at Jinyin beach, north of Qinghai Lake. It was constructed in 1958 and the first Chinese atomic bomb and hydrogen bomb was invented here, hence the name. On this piece of 1, 170 square kilometers boundless grassland, a total area of 570 square kilometers was used as nuclear weapons development base.

Therefore, a monument was built. After the nuclear weapon development mission is completed, the place was officially reassigned for to the locality in 1993 and the name was changed to Xihai town.

The scenic spots comprised of the Atomy City exhibition hall, the base memorial hall, the retirement project monument square, "two bombs" research memorial hall, the development base, the workshop, the General building, as well as "forbidden area" center office building and so on.
