Bamboo Forest locates between Changning County and Jiang’an County, 50 kilometers far from Changning City and 81 kilometers far from Yibin City. Bamboo Forest area is about 120 square kilometers. There is nothing to be seen in winter except the silvery white snow on the bamboos. In summer, the whole bamboos are verdant. It is a rare green Bamboo Forest in the world. Bamboo Forest, Dinosaurs, Stone Forest and Suspended Coffins are the “four marvelous spectacles” in Southern Sichuan. Bamboo Forest was included on the national key scenic spot list by the State Council in 1988.
　
There are about 30 kinds of bamboos such as Nan bamboo, fish pole bamboo, concave bamboo, etc in the Bamboo Forest. Of them, the number of Nan bamboo is the most. The average temperature here is about 15.5 centigrade, with fresh air and comfortable climate. Among the boundless expanse of green waves are a lot of scenic spots for tourists. At nightfall, the music of lutes and the croaking of frogs one after another form a nice Bamboo Forest.
