The Liupei Pond is located under the foot of Tianzhu Mountain, north bank of Min River in Yibin city area, Sichuan. Liubei Pond is completely surrounded by valleys and the shape of the pond is square.
The length of the pond is approximately 52 meters, the width is 0.5 meters and the depth is 3 meters. The bourn flows out from the valley, merge with the stones and flows into the pond from the stones.
The drinking water is green and the pond is very deep. There are 8 stone stools next to the pond where visitors could sit and enjoy their drink. There is a Shi Rock not far from the pond where there are two characters “Suojiang” (lock the river) written by Song Dynasty’s calligraphist, Huang Tingjian and the two words “Shangu” (valley) next to it are clearly visible.
