Yibin Cuiping Park,Cuiping Gongyuan

Cuiping Park is situated on the western side of Yibin City, 507 meters above sea level. Mt. Cuiping is joined with Mt. Zhenwu and both are covered with thick forests. Mt. Cuiping is green all year round, so it gains the name “Cuiping” (the green screen of the city). It is also the largest forest park in Sichuan Province. There are broad stone stairways winding to the top of the mountain, with green trees all along. On the mountain are many famous sights, such as, the bas-relief of One Thousand buddhas, Cuiping Night Bell, etc. When the weather is fine, you can get a bird’s-eye view of Yibin City from the peak of the mountain, and you can clearly see the three pagodas of Xufu (the ancient name of Yibin): The Black Pagoda, the White Pagoda and the Jiuzhou Pagoda plus the ancient building of former Cuiping Academy, now the memorial hall in honor of Zhao Yiman(a heroine in Anti-Japanese War). There is a Nezha Cave with a statue of Nezha in the park. In recent years, many people from Taiwan who believed in the Nezha God have come to show their religious devotion, turning it into a new scenic spot of Mt. Cuiping. The Residential Palace of Nezha was built by imitating the style of Qing Dynasty. Built in strict accordance with the mountain terrain, facing south, the palace is composed of the mountain gate, the Crown Prince Hall and the Nezha Cave which are all in a straight line, with a floor area of 330 square meters. The whole palace looks solemn and magnificent.
