Yibin Jiuzhou Tower,Jiuzhou Ta

The Jiuzhou Tower is located in Jiuzhou Dam, about 3 kilometers northwest of Yibin City, Sichuan. It was constructed 1109a.d. The tower is made of bricks of square shape. Its height is about 30 meters in square shape and each side of the width of the base is 7.23 meters wide. The tower has 13 floors altogether and the higher it is, the smallest it gets. The Jiuzhou Tower gate faced south. Every floor of this tower is quite short, which is one of the key characters of this tower.

There are no windows in the center of the outer tower and out of the 48 windows found; only 12 are real windows. The rest are all fake windows and not connected to the interior of the tower. Each floor has not just windows but also turret and lattice windows. In fact the tower was divided into only 5 floors. All of the floors have arches witch made of brick and in every floor is a Buddha statue in the arches but they were all destroyed now.
