Zhongshan pavilion is located in the Meihua village of Xiangzhou area, Zhuhai, next to the Guangzhu expressway. The road began construction in 1912. The four small pavilions were built with the money contributed by the local population. It is the social building in commemoration of Mr. Sun Yat-Sen’s during the earliest time in our country. In April 1912, after Mr. Sun Yat-Sen resigned from his temporary president post of Republic of China, he devoted to the social revolution. He inspected various provinces in the south, propagandized democracy and returned to his hometown to visit his parents. On the early morning of 25th July, the countryman queue in order to express their respect to him and hold a grand welcoming party when he passes though Qianshan. There are more than 10,000 people gathered at both sides of the path, beating gongs and drums. Mr. Sun Yat-Sen is beaming and bouncy, smiling and shaking hands with the countrymen to express his gratitude.
