Hailongtun is located on the Longyan Mountain in Hailonggu village of Gaopin town, 28 kilometers from Zunyi City in Guizhou Province. It was built in 1257. The military camp was constructed on Longyan Mountain, the Hailongtun military new town.
It was surrounded by cliffs on all four sides with only one entrance from the mountain road. Gutuyue two cities were situated on the 10 kilometers wide station. The copper column pass was built on the foot of the right hill and on the left is the iron column pass.
The Feihu pass was built on the mountainside, Feilong pass was built on the east side, Chaotian pass and Feifeng pass, with Wan An pass built after the west mountain, West pass and the back pass where they were made of heavy megalith masonry.
Each arch top was engraved with the pass’s name. There are archer’s towers on the city gate. All of the passes are completely preserved in good condition. It was said each pass was originally connected by the stone wall where horses could gallop through. Hanging bridge was erected outside the city gate where deep trenches were dug.
The three-ply city wall is firm with the construction of the outer wall encircling the cliff spanning a length of 10 kilometers. It is a strategic location with the abyss located just below.
