Tucked away in south Guangxi province, Fangcheng is an important port city, which makes up in specialties, what it lacks in size.
Places of interest with romantic names like Moon Bay, Xiannv Lake and Old Channel are spread along Jiangshan, Guangxi's biggest peninsula on China's southern coastline. If its beach action you're looking for, Bailong Beach awaits. This beach also lends its name to Bailong Island; another name for the peninsula, and along with the Dongxing Golden Beach will keep even the most energetic visitor satisfied. You may bump into members of the Jing ethnic group in these parts, as this is where they call home.

Flour forms the base of most traditional Fangcheng cuisine, which is varied and presented in creative containers forming bite size dim sum shapes that makes it a delight to eat.
Culture vultures should visit around June 10th of the lunar year, when the Jing ethnic group gets together for an entertaining few days of carnival at the Changha Festival.
