The Hongfo Pagoda is located in the south of Cheng village, Panchang town, Helan county in Ninxia. It is about 20 kilometers from Yinchuan.
The pagoda was built with bricks of three-floor and the eight-square pavilion complex construction has unique modeling and plain style. It was initially built in 1190 and the collapsed pagoda was repaired in 1991.
Quite a number of remnant cultural relic such as the silk color Buddha picture in West Xia, the painted sculpture image of Buddha, the Arhat, the person of great strength facial features and 18 body features and 200 pieces of West Xia literature sutra engraving were excavated. There are about 100 pieces of streamer belt, woodcarving, bamboo slips, and colored glaze and so on. The silk color painting "Flaming Light Buddha", "the Xuanwu Emperor" and painted sculpture Buddha were all made by the palace artisans. They all possessed high research value for historical, artistic and the scientific purpose.
