Ten-thousand Birds Island (Wanniao Dao) is situated on the center east of Yantai Long Islands in Shandong Province. The island occupies a total area of 0.05 square kilometers. There are more than millions of sea gulls living on the island.

The coastline length of the entire island is 1.25 kilometers. The steep cliff of the landform seacoast accounts for over 90%, these divide the cliff which is like truncates into multi-aposand stones with extremely crag with strong crumbliness. After eclipses and decency of the sea, uneven concave, stone steps, Shitai, rock cave, row after row of stone holes were raised forming a natural sea gull known as "Shilou".

There is no path all around the island but the tunnel located near the entrance can lead to the summit. It is extremely precipitous and narrow and can only hold 1 person to pass at one time. It is a must to have torch lights to light the way before the journey can be preceded.

It was called "leading to heaven road". Walking along this road is like being engulfed in a sea gull’s kingdom where you can easily touch the bird’s wing; upon ascending the summit, all the birds were scattered around under the foot. The distance from Long Island to Ten Thousand Birds Island is approximately 1.5 hours by boat.
