Zhangyu Wine Culture Museum was invested and set-up in Yantai by southern coastal provinces rich merchant, Mr. Zhang Bishi in 1892. The license was issued and signed by high ranking official, Li Hongzhang during the Qing Dynasty. In 1912, Mr. Sun Yat-Sen wrote an inscription in favor of the company. In 1915, the brandy, red grape, Commander Lei and the beautiful thick jade liquid received the honor of “the Panamanian Pacific Ocean international exposition” gold medal and the most excellent certificate.

In 1987, the international grape and the grape wine bureau were named as the only “international grape, the grape wine city” in Asia. Hundred years old of big underground wine cellars and the liquor culture exhibition halls had demonstrated the hundred years of magnificent cultivation history of the Chinese nationality. Zhang Yujiu culture museum was constructed in 1992. This exhibition hall is mainly composed by the hundred years old underground wine cellar and the exhibition. It was listed as the government and patriotic education base of Yantai Municipal by the Shandong provincial government.
