Beijing Peking Man Relics at Zhoukoudian,Zhoukoudian Beijingren Yizhi

The Peking Man Relics at Zhoukoudian is located on the mountain of Zhoukoudian, Fangshan district in Beijing. It was famous for almost completed Peking man fossil excavation in the twentieth century, especially with the discovery of the first Peking Man cranium in 1929 (probably lives for more than 20, 000 years from now) , thus provided solid foundation for Peking men existence, which becomes the milestone to study the ancient humanity in history. So far, it has been excavated and displayed human fossils including 6 craniums, 15 mandibles, 157 toeet and the massive skeletons fragment, representing approximately 40 Peking individuals, for studying the early human biology evolution and the early culture development for providing the material object basis. The Peking Man Relics at Zhoukoudian was listed to the "World Inheritance Name list" in 1987.
