As early as in 1934, a grand scale pear flower grand meeting was held and earned the fine reputation of “Yantai first Tour Park”. The South Hill Park occupied 1.33 square kilometers. There are park area, flowers and plants area, zoo, and the silva and child amusement park. It is the main traveling and leisure spot in Yantai. At present, the park has succeeded in carrying out many types of animals’ reproduction including the east tiger, lion, bear, hippopotamus, peacock, camel, wolf, silva, horse and so on. The silva has nearly 30,000 plants, each lawn occupying 9,000 square meters with gorgeous and varied forest landscape and rich wild plant resources. It offers good condition in providing young people with popular science education. The child amusement park is the children’s paradise with interesting and stimulating or longan’s game among where it not only attracts children but also to adults, who indulged in childlike innocence, seeking joy and healthiness.
