Yantai Kongtong Island Scenic Area,Kongtongdao Fengjingqu

Kongtong Island is located 9.5 kilometers on the northeast sea of Zhifu area in Yantai City. It is the biggest island in Yantai urban district. The total area occupied by the main island is 0.84 square kilometer where it is just a paradise. To the northern part of the island are mainly steep reef, the topography on the south slope is gentle and there is a crescent moon shape natural sea bathing place. The island is surrounded by a periphery link of several islands with main islands such as the isolated island, two isolated islands, three isolated islands and Malvinas and so on.
The island is rich with aquatic resource such as trepang, sea scallop and other precious seafood. The water around Kongtong Island is limpid and without any industry pollution. It is extremely rich with shellfish where you can get clams, seaweed, halizi and so on in just a short period of time. If you are a lover for fishing, you may fish at the northeast part of the island where the bamboo pole awaits calmly, because there are many natural corrode hole beneath where many fishes hide within. It was named by the fishermen as "the yellow croaker hole" and "the murrel hole". The fish gets hook as soon as the fishing pole was put in.
