“Dragon and Tiger Tablet” is located under the foot of Gushanzi Mountain near the bank of Tumen River, within the boundaries of Liangshui Town in Tumen city. The two characters of “dragon and tiger” were written by Wu Dacheng, who was a patriotic Minister at the end of Qing Dynasty.
Wu Dacheng’s stroke is clear and is also known as Hengxuan. He was originally from Wuhsien, Jiangsu and was a famous epigraphy expert and calligrapher during the end of Qing Dynasty. His work includes "Zhai zhai Ji Gu", "Heng Xuan Inscription on stone tablet and bronze Record", "Ancient Jade Explanatory diagrams and illustrations", "Shuowen Gu Zhu Kao” and so on the books, and also "Seal script Confucian analects".
