Beijing Biyun Temple,Biyun Si

Biyun is located 20 kilometers northwest of Beijing. The famous temple has more than 600 years history. The layout of the temple was made along the axis up the slope with rows of halls built one higher up over the other. The Sun Yat-Sen memorial hall was set up in the temple. On 2 April 1925, the bier of Dr. Sun Yat-sen was laid in the Hall of Enlightenment and Sensibility in the temple and was moved to the mausoleum built for him in Nanjing in May 1929.
