Xingjiao temple is one of the eight big temples of Sichuan in Tang Dynasty. It was the place where the renowned eminent monk, Master Xuan Zang passed away. Xingjiao sits north and faces south with the two buildings of clock and drum tower confronting the temple.
It is the paradise for Buddhism tourists to look for the reverence of Xuan Zang vestige. In the temple, there are copper images of Buddha of Ming Dynasty, Burmese jade Buddha statue and also the scroll sutra amounting to several thousands volume from all previous dynasties. Premier Zhou once accompanied Indian Premier Nehru to visit this temple to look at reverent Xuan Zang grave tower.
